On 12 October 2026, the German International School Pretoria (DSP) held the official presentation of its certificate recognising the quality seal „Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule“ (Excellent German School Abroad). The school had received confirmation of the distinction in April, following a successful Federal-State Inspection.

Signed by Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, the certificate recognises the quality of the DSP’s educational provision.

We were honoured to welcome H.E. Oliver Renschler, German Ambassador to South Africa, Uta Neumüller of the KMK, Prof. Dr Susanne Lin-Klitzing, Federal Chair of the German Association of Philologists, and representatives of the DSP Board.
